Legal Advice & Assistance – Post interview

Under the governments Legal Aid Scheme, you have the right to free and independent legal advice when you are arrested for an interview under Caution or attending a voluntary interview at a police station. Your Solicitors costs for representing you in interview is met under this Scheme, at no cost to you.

Pre-Charge Advice and Assistance

For any legal advice and assistance after interview are charges are as follows:

£350.00 plus VAT (3 monthly fixed fee)

Up to 1 hours work

This covers:

General advice and assistance following interview
Bail to return enquiries (up to 3 months only)
Post-interview engagement with the OIC
Representations relating to variation/amendment of bail conditions (if applicable)
Providing client with updates
Dealing with correspondence to/from the police/client
General property enquiries (i.e. for collection)

Re-bail enquiries after 3 months
Post-interview engagement after 3 months
Arranging the collection of property (the OIC must be contacted directly)
Review/Representation relating to Police applications to the Magistrates Court to extend bail (i.e. the application bail period)

Once we have utilised funds (up to 1 hour), a further charge of £350.00 plus VAT may be required to carry out any additional work/enquiries.

1 hour Consultation

If an additional consultation with a Solicitor is requested, we charge £350.00 plus VAT for 1 hour.
